Neverfail for...

Leveraging Virtualization with Continuous Availability

Bringing Application Aware Benefits to Virtual Platforms

Neverfail protects applications deployed on both physical and virtual platforms. Deployment scenarios embrace all combinations of physical, virtual and cloud based servers. VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V are both supported by Neverfail for delivery of application continuity solutions.

The server consolidation benefits of virtualization are well documented. Yet Mission critical applications may still be sensitive to the resource sharing requirements of virtualization so unlike other approaches Neverfail does not require applications to be virtualized, nor does it require shared storage to be effective.

Going further, virtual platforms largely have no knowledge about how the applications work, their health and status is not managed by the virtual platform. But working together Neverfail and virtual platforms can provide a very cost-effective and resilient application availability platform addressing both high availability and disaster recovery requirements of business continuity.

Neverfail vXtender provides application availability from virtualization even if the applications are still on physical servers and then goes on to deliver a risk free migration process with no user downtime even during the migration itself.

Neverfail vAppHA works in harmony with vSphere to bring application availability for virtualized applications. Without Neverfail tools such as vMotion and VMWare/HA provide a level of business continuity to protect against platform issues, but where the application starts to fail they cannot address availability. This is where vAppHA steps in. monitoring the health of critical applications to provide continuous availability.

Neverfail technology also powers VMware vCenter Server. Any downtime of vCenter Server means that VMware tools such as vMotion, SRM, VIEW and others can no longer work. VMware vCenter Server Heartbeat protects availability of vCenter server itself, and it's powered by Neverfail.

Similar capabilities are available for Microsoft Hyper-V by using Neverfail to protect System Center Virtual Machine Manager Components including the database and file system components.

Neverfail leverages and protects virtual infrastructure to ensure the investment delivers on promises, and to add further RoI for business continuity.
