Site Definitions
The Neverfail v6.6 Continuous Availability Director introduces the ability to create site definitions and control site-level failover and switchover for disaster recovery, site maintenance, and DR testing purposes. With site-level controls in place for Neverfail pairs, customers now have the ability to switchover all the applications running at one site with a single click. Site-level controls make it possible to quickly and easily failover to a secondary site should a disaster occur, as well as efficiently perform a switchover and switchback to support routine maintenance or scheduled site-level downtime.
Neverfail enables customers to define the varying units of measure for failover capabilities. Whether a single-server pair, a multi-tier complex business application, of an entire geographically-connected campus of servers, Neverfail’s unified switchover minimizes the downtime associated with any kind of failover or maintenance. By providing site level control of planned and unplanned downtime, customers can benefit from much greater flexibility to manage their complex IT infrastructures.
