RDSI Accelerates Disaster Recovery Project by Two Years with Neverfail
Neverfail Delivers Continuous Availability and Regulatory Compliance For Banking Technology Provider
AUSTIN, Texas – Jan. 7, 2008 – Serving the most highly regulated industry in the world, RDSI Banking Systems has selected Neverfail to protect the more than $12 billion in total banking assets for its 70 community banking partners. RDSI relies upon Neverfail for Microsoft® Exchange and Neverfail for Microsoft® SQL Server to ensure continuous availability and disaster protection for its business-critical email and data.
“There is no downtime in banking,” said Jeremy Cullen, Infrastructure Specialist at RDSI. “Our client banks are dependent on us to provide key uninterrupted processing and email services for them and their customers, as well as house transactions for regulatory compliance. Neverfail’s solutions fit our needs perfectly; their products are intuitive and effortless to manage. With our successful implementation, we’ve been able to decrease the time needed to complete our disaster recovery project from three years to 12 months.”
RDSI is a trusted technology advisor and one of the Midwest’s largest providers of financial data processing services and products for commercial banks. They are committed to staying up-to-date in hardware and software technology and providing their clients with the latest in banking products and services, including electronic banking and check imaging. After beginning development on a new facility to support a high availability and disaster recovery strategy, RDSI needed quick, easy-to-implement tools that would guarantee continuous availability of business-critical applications and customer data. RDSI chose Neverfail.
Neverfail monitors the health of RDSI’s entire server environment including hardware, network infrastructure, operation system and supported applications. If a planned or unplanned issue arises, Neverfail is capable of taking corrective actions to fix the issue or can initiate a system failover to a secondary environment. During the failover process, users are seamlessly connected to the redundant site and are not required to restart applications such as email or SQL Server. Once issue resolution has been completed, users are redirected back to the organization’s primary email environment where they continue working. Should an unplanned outage or disaster occur, Neverfail’s solutions failover within a matter of minutes with no noticeable disruption for users. Additionally, the seamless switchover provides continuity during planned downtime, including system maintenance.
“In the high risk, highly competitive world of banking, it is critical for customers and employees to have round-the-clock access to their information and systems,” said Dave French, Neverfail Americas CEO. “Using Neverfail solutions, RDSI gives its clients the tools to meet the demands of their customers by providing reliable access to business information and services at all times.”
