Westland Insurance Calls On Leading High Availability Provider for Proactive and Seamless Disaster Recovery Technologies

AUSTIN, Texas – June 4, 2007 – The Neverfail Group (Neverfail), a leading global software company providing both a high availability solution and disaster recovery software, today announced Westland Insurance Group (Westland) has implemented Neverfail high availability solutions to protect the company’s Microsoft® Exchange, SQL Server, File Server and IIS environments.  Westland, one of British Columbia’s largest community-based insurance brokerages providing auto, home and commercial policies, now ensures more than 300 IT users in 22 offices remain connected during instances of planned and unplanned downtime.

Located along the west coast of Canada and near the San Andreas Fault Line, natural conditions, including harsh winter storms and earthquakes, serve as viable threats to the company’s day-to-day operations.  In 2005 and 2006, Westland Insurance conducted internal and external audits of the company’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans to determine the company’s level of preparedness.   During the audits, Westland’s IT department identified four mission critical applications –Exchange, SQL Server, File Server and IIS – that required continuous protection.  The company immediately began the search for a high availability solution that was easy to install and manage, could operate in geographically dispersed scenarios and would proactively alert IT staff if any issues arose.
