Neverfail SCOPE Wins Storage Product of the Year at the Network Computing Awards UK 2007
Continuity Solution Awarded for Industry-First Approach to Ensuring Server Health
London, UK – 22 March 2007 – The Neverfail Group (Neverfail), a leading global software company providing both a high availability solution and disaster recovery software, today announced that SCOPE (Server Check Optimization Performance Evaluation) has been awarded Storage Product of the Year at the Network Computing Awards UK 2007. SCOPE is the only product on the market that proactively addresses server reliability at all times on Microsoft® Windows-based servers, and was recognised by industry professionals and readers of Network Computing magazine as the winner of its category. The award was presented to Neverfail on the 21st of March at The Hotel Russell in London.
“Having a robust business continuity plan is crucial for businesses in today’s on-demand workplace. However, even with the best high availability solution in place, organisations still need to ensure the reliability of their entire server environment so issues are avoided before they occur,” said Peter Parker, Group CEO of Neverfail. “SCOPE allows our users to check the strengths and weaknesses of their server environment before implementing a business continuity solution, in addition to continuously monitoring the server in real-time after the deployment. We’re very pleased that the readers of Network Computing magazine have helped us to achieve this honour, as SCOPE was specifically designed with the user in mind to go one step beyond traditional business continuity solutions by offering insight and recommendations to best support a comprehensive high availability strategy.”
Neverfail SCOPE combines an automated data collection tool with a proprietary analysis engine. SCOPE continuously collects both hardware and software configurations, application and system logs, and system performance data. Users can then upload this information, either automatically or manually from the host server to the Neverfail extranet. SCOPE’s analyser then validates system and environment setup against best practices and provides the user with change recommendations. The analyser also will evaluate server workload characteristics, and help pinpoint any hardware or bandwidth issues. SCOPE data is utilised by Neverfail to continually create new rules for SCOPE that enhances its ability to proactively catch server health issues.
“We’d to congratulate all the winners tonight who have led the industry with their outstanding contributions this year,” said David Bonner, event manager for the Network Computing Awards. “This win for Neverfail is a testament to Neverfail’s commitment to putting the user first by developing an intuitive solution that ensures the stability of the entire server environment before implementing a business continuity strategy, further eliminating the chance for downtime.”
