Eliminating Bandwidth Barriers
Data transmission costs can be a serious issue for companies, regardless of their size. But lack of available bandwidth should not be a reason why disaster recovery projects are delayed. Neverfail addresses this issue by including standard compression facilities and optional advanced de-duplication mechanisms to reduce or eliminate bandwdith barriers.
Minimizing replication traffic as standard
To facilitate failover Neverfail maintains a cloned copy of applications and data on a secondary (or tertiary) server to ensure redundancy should failures occur. As standard replication takes place at a byte level to propogate changes while minimizing the amount of data replicated. Compression is also included as standard to reduce the amount of data to be transmitted. The result is a highly effective mechanism to maintain off-site servers.
Advanced de-duplication ready when needed
On transactionally heavy systems the amount of data to be replicated may be significant, and when operating over the WAN it's important to to make best use of available bandwidth.
An optional module, Neverfail WANSmart, is available. It uses state of the art de-duplication algorithms that on the fly reduces the bandwidth consumed. It can reduce bandwidth consumption by a factor of 30. The impact is reduced operating costs and minimum replication latency meaning disaster recovery can go ahead without incurring extra WAN costs and with limited impact on other WAN users.
