Fault Avoidance
Predicting when failure is imminent
An important part of any continuous availability strategy should be avoiding the threat of downtime in the first place. Neverfail is designed for organizations that cannot tolerate downtime for critical parts of their business. This is why Neverfail includes predictive monitoring as part of our application availability approach.
Monitoring and automation keeps business running
Traditional backup/recovery based approaches to disaster recovery and continuous data availability guarantee business downtime because they will only ever be able to react to an issue.
Excessive queue lengths, crashed windows services, long response times can all be indications of service interruptions and Neverfail can detect them all. And take appropiate action to resolve them.
Beyond recovery
Traditional approaches to systems availability, for example those based purely on replication or log-shipping will never be able to identify a threat that can be avoided and will always require intervention to recover an application. By contrast Neverfail will identify where application downtime is likely.
It will automatically identify ways to avoid a fault which would result in business service interruption.
Where service level agreements mean close 24x7 operation and an RTO close to zero, using fault avoidance techniques combined with automation will deliver against the SLA.
